Initial Concept & Strategy:
This phase, involving research, brand positioning, and strategy development, can take a few weeks to a couple of months.

Design & Creative Development:
Creating the visual identity (logo, color palettes, typography, etc.) can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks, depending on the complexity and client feedback.

Implementation & Launch:
Once the design is finalized, implementing it across various platforms and materials can take several weeks or even months, depending on the scale of the project.

Factors Influencing Turnaround Time:

Project Scope: A comprehensive branding project with multiple deliverables (e.g., brand guidelines, website design, marketing materials) will naturally take longer than a project focused on a logo alone.

Client Feedback & Revisions: The number and complexity of client feedback rounds can significantly impact the overall timeline.

Designer Availability & Capacity: A busy designer or agency may have longer turnaround times.

Client Communication & Decision-Making: Clear communication and timely decision-making from the client side are crucial for a smooth and efficient workflow.

Example Timeline:
Logo Design: 2-4 weeks

Branding Package (including logo, color palette, typography, etc.): 4-10 days

Full Branding Project (strategy, design, implementation): Several month

For branding or illustration, I usually begin with hand drawing on paper, then scan into the computer to digitize. For websites I use html programs. I use Adobe Creative Suite for design. I use the Microsoft suite for business documents. With my Project Management knowledge, I’m able to effectively produce deliverables in a timely manner.

A typical web development project can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the complexity and size of the website, with basic websites potentially taking a few weeks and more complex projects potentially taking several months.

Typically, I initially create many different looks/feels to choose from for the initial design. That is considered “Pass 1.” There are 2 more passes involved with the initial estimate. When a project goes beyond 3 passes, I charge $100/hour.

Project-Based Rates:

  • Basic Website (3-5 pages): $500 – $2,000
  • Standard Business Website (5-10 pages): $2,000 – $5,000
  • E-commerce or Complex Website: $5,000 – $10,000+
